Why Bibliophiles Cafe?

I began my journey into the world of literature, recipes and more in 8th grade, when I made my first No-Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies. My mum urged me to create a blog, which wasn’t something I was very enthusiastic about, hence the long gaps between those early posts. But I would get quite into this sometimes, when I would have long stretches of holidays or was just bored. But nothing serious.

This is me in 8th grade.

But this summer I was very determined to dedicate myself to the blog. And I did. This past June I tried to be as regular as possible, and there was no looking back from there. I baked more than I ever did, read a great deal more, and met such amazing people here in our little community. I named the blog Princess Perceptions on a whim, I wasn’t very serious about it when I started, but I’ve grown since then and so has this blog. I feel a change in the name is necessary to acknowledge that growth. I hope to bring informative and evocative content to the table along with my adventures in kitchen. I would like to thank all those who continue to support and encourage me with their likes and comments.

Welcome to Bibliophiles Café!

Thanks! Spent a lot of time on the name. I had a few others, but this is what made the final cut.

  4. Great choice, as it illustrates both interests! Admittedly, it baffled me at first, as a notice popped up from Bibliophiles Café. “Huh? Interesting, but I don’t know any…” It was enough, though. Intrigue won, I opened the email, and made it here. So glad I did, as you’ve offered a wonderful “relaunch.” Here’s to the years becoming decades, your delicious entries (in more ways than one) accompanying them!

Thanks so much! I had been thinking about this for quite sometime now, and I had quite a few other names in mind, but Bibliophiles Café was the one that clicked. It illustrates both my interests, as you said, my bibliophilic adventures and cookhouse sagas.
